Children’s Program
We're thrilled to extend a warm welcome to children (ages 3-12) as we prepare to embark on a journey of joyful programming, sharing the Christian story together. Our Children’s Program will unfold during the Chapel service on non-beach service Sundays (July 14, 28; August 11 and 25), spanning a delightful 45 minutes of engaging activities.
Children will commence the Chapel service alongside their families, eventually gathering together during the service and transitioning to 'AMEN'. There, they'll immerse themselves in singing, crafts, storytelling, and fostering community connections.
To ensure we're fully prepared to welcome your little ones, please take a moment to provide the following information to the best of your ability. We're eagerly anticipating the opportunity to gather with you at our Chapel!
Food Pantry Bags
Sconset Chapel Food Pantry bags will be available at the Chapel every Sunday during the season. Please take one, fill it up with suggested items on the list in the pocket of the bag. Bring it back on Sunday or to the porch at Amen and the bags will be taken to the food pantry.
THE NANTUCKET FOOD PANTRY IS MOST APPRECIATIVE OF OUR DONATIONS.
Live Streaming from ‘Sconset Chapel
The Chapel offers live streaming which allows our Chapel community members to "virtually attend" services even if they can not get to the chapel.

Behold! Commemorative Book
What started out as a history of the Chapel's tradition of needlepoint kneelers turned into a history of the Chapel and its closely intertwined relationship with the village of 'Sconset. That book, Behold: The Siasconset Union Chapel, was published in 2008 and truly commemorates the chapel's rich history. The beautiful book, written by Patricia Butler, photographed by Jeffrey Allen and designed by Kathleen Hay, features behind the scenes and amusing stories of chapel life, as well as its history and ministires. In addition, every one of the chapel's gorgeous, handmade kneelers is pictured in all its needlepoint glory. And, the book also features many excellent historic photographs which document the chapel's growth and evolution for much of its 135 years.
The book is for sale at the Chapel on Sundays and the Chapel is open to the public weekdays during the summer from 10 AM-12 PM. Behold is also available at island bookstores.
